I’ve got a cool business that fits my lifestyle. It’s called an “appointment funnel” - and it basically lets me send emails and talk on the phone from my house.
A lot of people want remote and tech jobs but with the economy shifting - you might not be able to find them so easily. Or you don’t have experience in “tech stuff”.
This doesn’t require a lot of experience in any industry - but you do need to be able to perform (literally almost any) business service and be able to talk about it with people.
This isn’t for everybody.
Some people are more comfortable with resumes or it would make them sick to talk to people and answer questions.
But it’s rewarding. I have a loose schedule. People want to talk to me, and I schedule everything on my own time.
Because it’s really specialty work, I can set my own time to deliver it.
I can put down work and play a video game, go out to lunch with a friend, or
I have extremely effective time during the day and a lot of patience, experience and strategy.
How Does The Appointment Funnel Work?
If you’re some bigshot agency owner, this isn’t new news to you - but most of my own followers are regular people so I’m gonna use plain English.
So, the core “hook” of the business. I'm scheduling time with really high efficiency performers in life. People who own or manage businesses.
I show them proof that I've made some money in their field and I ask to talk.
I don’t need thousands of people on a mailing list.
If you can get 100 leads and 5 of them pan out, you’re doing very well for yourself, not to mention the connections and referrals that’ll come your way.
Now, this sounds really crazy. Who is saying yes to this? Like… literally enough people that I can make them ten percent more money in the next couple months (and I show them proof I've done it for a couple of people) and they say yes.
(And it's enough money that I can literally login to their small business, run their contacts or send emails for them or whatever) and… they all make money.
It always works. if I don’t think it will work, I figure it out on the call, and I don’t work with them.
So I have some software that just reach out to people and asks them.
And I record a personalized video and ask to talk to them.
I sit down and talk about their business, and I tell them I can help their business for (a lot of money).
This product is so good, the only reason not to buy it is that you just can't afford it.
I do have to block out time to be on these calls but - it's scheduled time. They're using a calendar app to talk to you, so you get to choose the times you're available.
You can walk around the block, get warmed up, outline your conversation with them.
On the calls, I ask a few very specific questions… and they're so detailed that answering them takes an entire conversation.
And then I share my proof, tell a story about how well it works.
And I ask them to hire me. It works really well.

Nobody does anymore. What you care about is that it looks good and gives you a good experience. Would you buy a TV with great specs, if the display looked blue to you?

Module Three: Agency Technology
I’ve made dozens of websites for myself, and dozens for students and clients across the globe. I’ve made every mistake there is to make, and I’ve had the best of success.
You have to have a website here – you can try to scratch something together with people in your area, but that’s a big burden of credibility you’ll have to carry. If you do things my way, you’ll drop jaws and get people EXCITED about working with you.
Every technical detail – handled, explained, simplified.

Module Four: Choosing Your Clients
When you are first starting out and especially if you really need the money, it can be very tempting to take any client that comes your way. In your mind, you compare the paycheck they’re offering you to not having that money.
It’s time to think differently. I want you to spend less time wrestling bad clients and more time finding the ones that can fit your lifestyle.
Remember that we only need 4 or 5 clients to have a smash hit here. So when we bring someone on, we’re giving them 20 - 25% of our time and energy. One bad client can gobble up our emotional energy and stress levels. No good.

Module Five: Closing Sales
A lot of people tell me they can’t close over the phone. And usually, that means they don’t want to cold call. I don’t blame you. That’s a rough gig, it’s basically spamming, but you feel the sting of every deletion. That just SUCKS.
But what if I could set it up where people called you, already looking to buy from someone, already liking you, and you just needed to... put them over the top a little bit.
Would that help your business?
- Why you absolutely MUST get people on the phone to make the big profits.
- A little trick you can use to close sales over the website (if you have social anxiety or something)
- A movie nobody’s ever heard of that has everything you need to know about sales.
- The “waypoints” you’re going to talk through to close the sale without “selling” anything.
- You charge HOW MUCH?? This is going to be your major hurdle – here’s the question that separates tire kickers from real potential clients.
The thought of talking on the phone to a stranger and asking for money might seem very daunting at first. It's a crucial step in this process and you will see that it's really easy as long as you follow my formula. You simply want to help people get more customers. That mindset will help you turn phone calls into meetings.
Module Six: Service Delivery
Making sales face to face is SO MUCH EASIER than trying to write some copywriting masterpiece and stick it on the web. If you’re talking to someone (at least in my system) they’ve already seen your face, they know you and like you.

Every Call Doesn’t Work!
This isn’t going to put you behind a Tesla right away or anything. Sometimes people aren't there yet in their business. Or they have a bunch of money and free time. Or you just aren’t able to get them to open their wallet, even once you prove it can work for them.
- I don't have to hang out on social media all the time. I don't like Facebook.
- I spend all day taking to like, rich expats (hint) and some of them give me money to work for them.
Proof Elements
You can say, my mentor got this great proof and I’m working to follow in his footsteps - and show my work to them.
Or you don't use any of that. Just sound confident, offer to work for performance, be patient.
Or show off anything where you did something complicated and got it done quickly.
If you really have no skills, say you're starting a podcast about whatever the micro topic is.
It's just all about the appointments. Set appointments with decision makers, listen to them talk about their business. Then offer to help them and prove that you can.
I’ve met lots of Instagram models and actors and minor celebrities.
I wouldn’t say this is “idiot-proof” but I would say it’s idiot friendly.
Okay, How Much Does It Cost?
I'm an appointment setter for myself. And I sell a small service. Isn't that cool?

- It’s not really hard to do. I have ADHD and this works pretty well for me. I can take a day off whenever I want. Software does a lot and you have to pay for it.
- It’s real work and a real business, but I’m in charge. I use the tools I like, I set my own hours, I can go work at a Panera Bread or a Taco Bell or a library.
- If that’s impressive, hey let’s get it. If it’s not, you might be able to do a better job of this than me. You can spend more money and make more money, or spend less and work harder. Whatever. I’m not your boss.
It’s just I don’t want to help you for less than $197. There's no upsell on this. That's why it's $197. I don’t have enough time to sell 1000 of these for $27. So yeah.
It’s not $997, or even $497. But if you come back one day and that’s the price,
well... that’s the price.
